Arizona Women’s Care Surgery

“You need a hysterectomy.”

That sometimes sounds like a scary thing to have a doctor say to you. You start to wonder about surgery procedures, recovery time, pain involved and all that goes along with the surgery. At Arizona Women’s Care we have options and we have answers.

Arizona Women’s Care is at the leading edge of women’s surgical procedures with a new technique called Single Site da Vinci® Minimally Invasive Surgery as well as continuing traditional laproscopic DaVinci Hysterectomy.

Imagine having surgery that only requires an incision of less than an inch!

Introducing…

da Vinci® Minimally Invasive Surgery

This is a new technique that only the most advanced of women’s care doctors offer. Using robotic-assisted techniques, the surgeon can perform procedures on a patient with smaller incisions than even some laparoscopic surgery. This state of the art surgery can be done with one small 2 cm incision in the belly button, which we call Single Site Hysterectomy, or through 3 or 4 small 1 cm incisions in the lower abdominal area which is the original da Vinci® procedure.

Arizona Women’s care also provides other advanced traditional surgeries such as:

  • Vaginal hysterectomy
  • Abdominal hysterectomy
  • Open Myomectomy
  • Ovarian cystectomy
  • Ablation of endometriosis
  • Tubal ligations
  • Cold knife Conization

We also offer in-office procedures for surgical care that does not require a hospital stay. For all procedures performed under anesthesia, we use light IV sedation with a board-certified anesthesiologist. These include:

I. Light Anesthesia

a. Hysteroscopy

b. Dilation and Currettage

c. Uterine polypectomy (polyp removal)

d. Novasure ablation

e. Vulvar biopsies

f. labiaplasty

II. No Anesthesia (Though you do have the option to add it)

a. LEEP (loop electrical excision procedure)

b. Colposcopy

c. Endometrial biopsy

d. IUD insertion or removal

e. Nextplanon

We are here to guide you through whatever problems might make surgery a reasonable option for treatment. We will thoroughly review the procedure and help you make the best decision for your health.
